With the northern expansion of Delaware City, the southern portion of the Township may encounter suburban growth pressures in the future. The Olentangy River and Delaware Lake are two significant features in the township recommended for conservation through lower densities and encouragement of conservation subdivision design. The US 23 corridor is to be the commercial base of the township, with access management and architectural guidelines strongly emphasized.

ATTENTION
The City of Delaware will be closing Troy Road August 31st through sometime in November for the installation of a roundabout at Merrick Blvd. Due to unforeseen weather and utility delays this closing may coincide with installation of the right hand turn lane and the middle turn lane on Hills Miller Road as Hills Miller Road is part of the detour route. We apologize for the inconvenience this will cause but these are factors beyond our control.

ADDITIONAL NOTICES TO RESIDENTS:
To Troy Township Residents:
The Troy Township Trustees contrary to popular belief did not initiate the ditch petition for the Davis #240 Watershed Drainage Improvement Project. But like all affected property owners the Township is going to have to pay its fair share of the calculated expenses. The amount charged to the Township and the township residents was calculated by the Delaware County Soil and Water Conservation District. The Delaware County Commissioners will be holding hearing on October 5th on the next steps in the project and whether to move forward or not. We encourage all affected residents to attend this meeting on October 5th at 10:30 a.m. to present their testimony on this project.
