Troy Township is mainly a single-family residential, rural area. With the northern expansion of Delaware City, the southern portion of the Township may encounter suburban growth pressures in the future. The Olentangy River and Delaware Lake are two significant features in the township recommended for conservation through lower densities and encouragement of conservation subdivision design. The US 23 corridor is to be the commercial base of the township, with access management and architectural guidelines strongly emphasized.

The Troy Township Board of Zoning Appeals has changed the previously scheduled hearing on JULY 25, 2024.
The Troy Township Board of Zoning Appeals will meet on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at the Troy Township Hall, 4293 US Highway 23 North, Delaware, Ohio 43015. The purpose of said meeting is to review one variance application.
This is to review the variance application from Rhonda Tyree owner of property located at 448 Irwin Road, Parcel 619-400-05-025-000, Delaware, Ohio 43015. Applicant requests a variance to construct a 400 foot steel structure on .17 acre tract.
The Troy Township Board of Zoning Appeals will meet on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. at the Troy Township Hall to approve the minutes of the August 8, 2024 hearing described herein.
The public is invited to attend these meetings.

The Troy Township Board of Zoning Appeals has scheduled a Special Meeting on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at the Troy Township Hall, 4293 US Highway 23 North, Delaware, Ohio 43015.
This is to grant the variance requested by Anna Thomas and Justin Parisi owners of property located at 2834 Panhandle Road, Parcel 519-100-05-023-000, Delaware, Ohio 43015 in accordance with the Judgment Entry issued by the Delaware County Common Pleas Court in Case No. 24-CVF-02-0204.
The previously scheduled hearing will commence immediately thereafter.
